As I sit at my desk, I can’t help but share with you how this week has been an emotional week for me here. I’v been awarded the 2019 Cotswold Wedding Photographer of The Year.
Many of you may know that I relocated just over 18 months ago, from just North of London, to the beautiful Cotswolds area in the West Country. being awarded the 2019 Cotswold Wedding Photographer of The Year is really a dream come true, and something that I would have ever imagined.
Some photographers are wonderful at entering competitions, showing off their incredible work, and being awarded praise for their entries. But for me, it’s all about the bride and groom. If you are happy, I am happy. But today… I am over the moon!
You can read the Brides Magazine news story right… here.
Choosing to move further from friends and family was not an easy decision to make, but I done so purely for the wedding industry here. Because as a wedding photographer, it’s one of the most beautiful reigons in England.
Here in The Cotswolds the weddings venues are stunning, the country life is beautiful, it’s a popular destination wedding location for those who want the old traditional way of British life, and here homes quite possibly (in my humble opinion) the best tea shops in the country.
Being a wedding photographer is something I have already dreamed of being, and I put all my love and energy into. It doesn’t feel like work to me, it’s my passion. And those who have seen me work always tell me how they notice I am always smiling and laughing when at their wedding.
Last year was an amazing year (which you can see here), but to now awarded Cotswold Wedding Photographer of The Year?! I couldn’t begin to tell you how much this truly means to me.
Thank you to everyone who has helped support me along my path. Thank you to every bride and groom who believes in me and brings me into their special day with the closest family and friends. Thank you to those who have encouraged me, the friends that listen to me talk about wedding photography all day and night, to the close friends who pushed me right from the start, and to those that have seen me give everything to do this and make it possible.
